My favorite albums

I couldn't sleep last night, and then I started to think in which albums I like and In think these are my favorites.

Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd

The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd, released in March 1973. The concept album built on ideas explored by the band in their live shows and earlier recordings, but it lacks the extended instrumental excursions that characterised their work following the departure in 1968 of founding member, principal composer and lyricist Syd Barrett. The Dark Side of the Moon's themes include conflict, greed, the passage of time and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by Barrett's deteriorating mental state.

Rubber Soul - The Beatles

Rubber Soul is the sixth studio album by the English rock group The Beatles, released in December 1965. Produced by George Martin, Rubber Soul had been recorded in just over four weeks to make the Christmas market. Unlike the five albums that preceded it, Rubber Soul was the first Beatles album recorded during a specific period, the sessions not dashed off in between either tour dates or during filming projects.[1] After this, every Beatles album would be made without the need to pay attention to other commitments, except for the production of short promotional films or principal photography and editing to Magical Mystery Tour. The album was described as a major artistic achievement, attaining widespread critical and commercial success, with reviewers taking note of The Beatles' developing musical vision.

The Black Keys - Brothers

Brothers is the sixth album by American blues-rock duo, The Black Keys. It is their third release on Nonesuch Records. It was released on May 18, 2010. Its title, track listing, and cover art were announced on March 2, 2010 by Pitchfork Media.[1] The first single off the album is "Tighten Up". The album debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 with approximately 73,000 copies sold in the first week released, making the band's highest charting album to date.[2] In January 2011, the album was certified Gold by the RIAA for shipping over 500,000 copies.[3]

Coldplay - Parachutes

Parachutes is the debut album by English alternative rock band Coldplay, released by the record label Parlophone on 10 July 2000 in the United Kingdom. The album was produced by the band and British record producer Ken Nelson, excluding one track which was produced by Chris Allison. Parachutes has spawned the hit singles "Shiver", "Yellow", "Trouble", and "Don't Panic".
The album was generally a commercial success, and was met with positive reviews. Upon release, the album quickly reached number one in the United Kingdom, and has since been certified 7x platinum. In the United States, the album peaked at number 51 on the Billboard 200, and has since been certified 2x platinum. It won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2002, and has earned the band various accolades since its release. Parachutes is number 12 on the list of the 20 biggest-selling albums of the 21st century in the United Kingdom, and was the winner of the Best British Album award at the 2001 Brit Awards.

Gorillaz - Demon Days

Demon Days is the second studio album by British band Gorillaz, released in May 2005. The album features contributions from De La Soul, Neneh Cherry, Martina Topley-Bird, Roots Manuva, MF DOOM, Ike Turner, Bootie Brown of the Pharcyde, Shaun Ryder, Dennis Hopper, the London Community Gospel Choir and the Children's Choir of San Fernandez.
Demon Days entered the UK charts at #1 and the U.S. charts at #6,[1][2] outperforming the band's 2001 debut, Gorillaz. The album has sold over ten million copies as of 2010.[3] The album features the singles "Feel Good Inc.", "Dare", "Dirty Harry" and "Kids with Guns"/"El Mañana".

Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams

In Between Dreams is the third album by singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, released by Brushfire Records in the United States on March 1, 2005 (see 2005 in music). As of May 10, 2006, the album had sold 2.1 million copies in the United States.

Jarabe de Palo - Depende

Depende is the second album by the Spanish Latin rock group Jarabe de Palo, released in 1998.

Led Zeppelin II

Led Zeppelin II is the second studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in October 1969 on Atlantic Records. Recording sessions for the album took place at several locations in the United Kingdom and North America from January to August 1969. Production was entirely credited to lead guitarist and songwriter Jimmy Page, while it also served as Led Zeppelin's first album to utilise the recording techniques of engineer Eddie Kramer.

Manu Chao - Radio Bemba Sound System

Radio Bemba Sound System is a live album by Manu Chao that was released in 2002. It is the accompanying CD to the performer's live DVD Babylonia en Guagua, filmed over two nights (4–5 September) in 2001 during the tour for Proxima Estacion: Esperanza. Many of the songs found on Radio Bemba Sound System, such as "Machine Gun", "Peligro","Mala Vida","King Kong Five" and "The Monkey", are songs originally recorded by Manu Chao's previous band, Mano Negra. However the arrangements performed with Radio Bemba Sound System are more reggae-, ska-, and rock-oriented.

Radiohead - In Rainbows

In Rainbows is the seventh studio album by English alternative rock band Radiohead. It was first released on 10 October 2007 as a digital download that customers could order for whatever price they saw fit, followed by a standard CD release in most countries during the last week of 2007. The album was released in North America on 1 January 2008. In Rainbows was Radiohead's first release after the end of their contract with EMI and the end of the longest gap between studio albums in their career.

Undertown - Tool

Undertow is the debut full-length album by American progressive metal band Tool, released in 1993. At the time, grunge was at the height of its popularity, and pop punk was slowly beginning to gather mainstream attention. Undertow helped heavy metal music remain prominent as a mainstream musical style, and allowed several later bands to break through to the mainstream.[1] Allmusic saw the album's success in the "striking, haunting visuals that complemented the album's nihilistic yet wistful mood."[1] It was eventually certified double platinum by the RIAA on May 14, 2001.[2] As of July, 7, 2010, Undertow has sold 2,910,000 Copies in the US.

Mediocre - Ximena Sarinana

Mediocre (Spanish pronunciation: [meˈðjokɾe]) is the Grammy Award and Latin Grammy nominated debut album of Mexican singer and actress Ximena Sariñana, released in the United States on July 15, 2008.[4] Mediocre reached #10 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums, and spawned the hit single "Vidas Paralelas" ("Parallel Lives"). The album gained additional attention when the iTunes Store featured Sariñana's song "Normal" as the canción de la semana — iTunes' free Latino song of the week — during the week of July 8, 2008.[5]
Mediocre garnered good reviews from many critics, receiving five stars from SoMinty, four stars from Time Out, and four stars from Rolling Stone magazine. New Movie - Quito 2023 coming out on 2012

Quito 2023

Quito 2023 is a dramatic feature film focuses on the Ecuadorian capital, 13 years from now. After several internal political problems, a coup has left the country in the hands of the military. Quito is the last frontier, the city has been completely fenced, enclosed and sheltered. The film starts from this point focuses on only two locations. One, the palace where the General Ponce, a cynical and cunning man who runs the party and is in charge of the city, and the second the headquarters of a group of young revolutionaries led by Marcos and Santiago, two guys with completely visions different, one might and power hungry, the other a boy estimated to have lost all hope for a better tomorrow. The film, without any political agenda, is the hours before the revolutionaries to make one last attack with the goal of overthrowing the tyranny that surrounds the city. These two places and characters are woven together to tell a story that is directly based on dialogue rather than action, in which we can analyze the position of each of them, including greed, power, humility and faith of those who expect a better future. The result is an analysis that might not this is just another case of social upheaval in Latin America where there is really no solution in a region characterized by high governability and the ingenuity of his own people.
